Tremaine Dance Conventions Teacher of the Year 2010 - 2011

Our graduate, Chartorri Lymon, auditioned for three college dance programs - The University of Alabama, Southern Mississippi and Bellhaven, and was accepted into all three. She will be attending The University of Alabama in the fall! Roll Tide!

Shellie Street, a former student of Debbie's School of Dance was chosen as The University of Alabama's Homecoming Queen for 2010.

- The Lorie Hobby Johnson Scholarship has been set up in honor of Lorie Johnson who passed away with breast cancer at the young age of 37. She left behind a husband, Darrell and two boys, Noah and Zachary and a loving mother, Brenda Hobby. I will award a years scholarship tuition free to a student who I feel is very deserving. This award will be presented at the rehearsal each year and a Plaque will hang in studio with the recipient’s name and the year the scholarship was awarded.
- Rebecca Carney Miller choreographed Shellie Street’s dance for the Miss Alabama pageant and she won the talent portion of the pageant.
- Rebecca Carney Miller and Haley Hellman were chosen to choreograph the Alabama State Junior Miss Pageant in Montgomery, AL in January.

- Laura Brown received a full scholarship through Southern Mississippi’s Dance Program.

- Shelby Gurley also received a full scholarship to Faulkner State through their dance program.
- Keri LaGrand taught Master Classes at the studio June 8th and 9th. Everyone loved her and her classes!
