Miss Debbie Carney
  Debbie Carney - Director, Choreographer

Debbie founded Debbie’s School of Dance in 1983, and has taught recreational and competitive dancers for the past twenty five years. The studio has won many regional and national awards. She believes the dance educators' role is not only to teach the newest steps and the correct technique but to instill self esteem, confidence, and life lessons that will influence the students to become the best they can be. Miss Debbie has been married for 25 years and has two children.
   
Rebecca Carney Miller
  Rebecca Carney Miller - Assistant Director, Choreographer

Rebecca has been dancing since the age of two. She has had training from numerous professional teachers and studios from across the country where she has received numerous scholarships. She was Mobile County Junior Miss in 2003 and First Runner up to Alabama's Junior Miss. She was Tremaine's Senior Female Dancer of the Year in 2003. Rebecca was a runner up in the Company Dance National Finals where she was featured on ESPN. She was a Tremaine Company Member and on staff as Joe Tremaine's assistant. In the summer of 2005 she performed at the World Jazz Congress in Chicago. Rebecca was also a dancer in the Disney Movie of the week "Stuck in the Suburbs." She is a graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in marketing and a minor in dance. She is a board member of Alabama's Junior Miss Program in Montgomery. Rebecca also taught and judged for Fire and Ice International Talent Competition and Convention.
   
Haley Hellman
  Haley Hellman - Competition Director, Choreographer

Haley has danced professionally in Tokyo Japan for Disney in the off Broadway show "Encore," appeared on National television in a Disney Special Event Show on NHK, danced with Stiletto Entertainment for two contracts on the Holland America Cruise Lines and is presently a Rockette Dancer based in Chicago. What experience and knowledge she brings back to our kids. Her personality is contagious. She was also Tremaine Dancer of the Year in 2001.
     
Derek Reese
  Derek Reese - Choreographer

Derek travels in from New Orleans to teach for us! Nationally recognized for his choreography with a focus on jazz, Mr. Reese teaches all over the country and is known for his ability to encourage students to their full potential. He judges and instructs for several national dance competitions and conventions along with co-directing his own studio in Louisiana. Derek's high-energy classes and challenging warm-ups are truly one-of-a-kind!
     
Sydney Adams   Sydney Adams - Head Ballet Instructor and Choreographer

Sydney has performed with dance companies in San Francisco, New York and Richmond, has studied under David Howard in New York City, and was personal assistant to Jerome Robbins. She has also taught and choreographed for the past twelve years at Springhill College and Mobile Ballet. Sydney has taught at Debbie's School of Dance for thirteen years.
     
Ashley Walker
  Ashley Walker - Instructor

Ashley has been teaching dance for sixteen years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Health Education from the University of South Alabama and is a pre-school teacher at Christ United Methodist Church. She has been married for nine years and has two daughters that dance at Debbie's School of Dance.
     
Erin Edmonds
 

Erin Edmonds - Business Manager

Everybody loves Miss Erin! She was a student at the studio for fifteen years and has been our Business Manager since she started college. Erin is the champion of keeping everyone and everything in line; the studio just does not work without her! Erin has a Bachelor's of Science degree in General Management from the University of South Alabama and is married with two children.

 

     

Dottie LeBlanc
 

Dottie LeBlanc - Hip Hop Instructor

Dottie has been dancing since the age of three and teaching for six ½ years. She has a minor in dance with her major in Communications from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and has studied under numerous professional teachers in the art of modern, jazz, hip hop and ballet. She has held many titles that include: Miss High Kick USA, All American Dancer, All American Kick Company, Raiderette Kick Company, All American Dance Team and also held rank of officer on both her High School and College dance teams. Dottie has competed in several dance competitions with her perspective dance teams, performed twice at Epcot in Disney, performed her own choreography at the Symphony of Trees in Texas, performed a jazz piece by Joe East at ACDF (American College Dance Festival), performed at many Lamar University basketball games and even danced at NCAA in North Carolina in 1999. Dottie has also done choreography for the Chatom High School Cheerleading team and has judged many auditions for dance teams as well as cheerleading auditions.
