Miss Debbie Carney
 
Debbie Carney - Director, Choreographer

Debbie founded Debbie’s School of Dance in 1983, and has taught recreational and competitive dancers for the past twenty five years. The studio has won many regional and national awards. She believes the dance educators' role is not only to teach the newest steps and the correct technique but to instill self esteem, confidence, and life lessons that will influence the students to become the best they can be. Miss Debbie has been married for 29 years and has two children. She was chosen as Tremaine Dance Convention National Teacher of the Year for 2010 - 2011.
   
Rebecca Carney Miller
  Rebecca Carney Miller - Assistant Director, Choreographer

Rebecca has been dancing since the age of two. She has had training from numerous professional teachers and studios from across the country where she has received numerous scholarships. She was Mobile County Junior Miss in 2003 and First Runner up to Alabama's Junior Miss. She was Tremaine's Senior Female Dancer of the Year in 2003. Rebecca was a runner up in the Company Dance National Finals where she was featured on ESPN. She was a Tremaine Company Member and on staff as Joe Tremaine's assistant. In the summer of 2005 she performed at the World Jazz Congress in Chicago. Rebecca was also a dancer in the Disney Movie of the week "Stuck in the Suburbs." She is a graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in marketing and a minor in dance. She is a board member of Alabama's Junior Miss Program in Montgomery. Rebecca also taught and judged for Fire and Ice International Talent Competition and Convention.
   
Haley Hellman
  Haley Hellman - Competition Director, Choreographer

Haley has danced professionally in Tokyo Japan for Disney in the off Broadway show "Encore," appeared on National television in a Disney Special Event Show on NHK, danced with Stiletto Entertainment for two contracts on the Holland America Cruise Lines and is presently a Rockette Dancer based in Chicago. What experience and knowledge she brings back to our kids. Her personality is contagious. She was also Tremaine Dancer of the Year in 2001.
     
Ashley Walker
  Ashley Walker - Instructor

Ashley has been teaching dance for sixteen years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Health Education from the University of South Alabama and is a pre-school teacher at Christ United Methodist Church. She has been married for nine years and has two daughters that dance at Debbie's School of Dance.
     
Erin Edmonds
 

Erin Edmonds - Business Manager

Everybody loves Miss Erin! She was a student at the studio for fifteen years and has been our Business Manager since she started college. Erin is the champion of keeping everyone and everything in line; the studio just does not work without her! Erin has a Bachelor's of Science degree in General Management from the University of South Alabama and is married with two children.

 

     

Jessica McNellage
 

Jessica McNellage - Instructor

Jessica has been dancing since they age of two. She has taken from many instructors throughout the country. She was a University of Southern Mississippi Dixie Darling. She is a graduate of Southern Mississippi with her undergraduate in Speech and Language Pathology and will graduate with her Master’s in Elementary Education in December 2010.

 

     

 

Caroline Tison - Instructor

Caroline has grown up in dancing in the Mobile area since the age of 4. She has trained with many professional teachers and studios across the country. These include the American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet summer intensives in New York City and the Millennium Dance Complex and Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. She has received many scholarships to studios such as Joffrey Ballet, Edge Performing Arts Center, and Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio. She has also received many dance convention scholarships at both the regional and national levels. She has been awarded regional dance convention titles and competed for national convention titles as well. Most recently, Caroline has been a part of the Tremaine Dance convention’s National Performance company. Before that, she has been seen on the sidelines at Jordan-Hare stadium as a member of Auburn University’s Tiger Paws Dance Team. As part of the Tiger Paws, she has competed at the Universal Dance Association college dance team national finals on ESPN in Orlando, FL. She holds a degree in Accounting from Auburn University.

 

     

Dottie LeBlanc
 

Blaire Boswell Ullrich - Instructor

Blaire has been a dancing for 22 years. She is highly trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Gymnastics, & Musical Theatre. Blaire studied dance at the University of Alabama where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance & Advertising in 2007 and her Master’s Degree in Advertising & Public Relations in 2008. She was on the Crimson Cabaret Dance Team while at UA, choreographer for the team and Captain her senior year. Blaire has received numerous dance awards and honors including Dance America’s Teachers Choice Choreography Award in 2006, Tremaine Performing Arts Center Scholarship in 2005, Best All Around Dancer Scholarship from PJC in 2004 and Miss Dance Kids Artistic Revue 2002 & 2003. Blaire has taught and choreographed for many studios, schools and organizations in the Southeast. She is now an Account Executive for Lamar Advertising in Mobile, AL and is excited about being a part of the Debbie’s School of Dance Faculty.
